Who are rural shoppers?

RuralShoppers is an online shopping service using local businesses for holidays in rural houses.

What can I buy?

Eveything you may need during your break: food, drink, personal hygiene products, cleaning products, and tipical local products. The only things we do NOT buy are frozen food and fish.

Is my rural house in your delivery area?

We deliver over the whole of Málaga province, so you can  check if you will be in our area.

What are RuralShoppers’ hours?

Daily from 10 am to 19.30 pm. If you choose Full Fridge Service, we liaise with your hosts as to the best time.

How does RuralShoppers work

It is easy to use RuralShoppers!

First of all, check that your rural house falls within our delivery zone. If it does not, do consult with us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Next, place your order: send us a photo of the list with a voice mail, or send it as an attachment to an email – we are flexible!

Within 24 hours you will receive a quotation with no obligation, itemising all the products selected, and the conditions.

We must have the confirmation within a minimum of 48 hours before your arrival. You can select the date and the time to suit your plans.

Lastly, on the day of arrival, we will call to confirm, and a RuralShopper will do the shopping locally and deliver it to the house at the agreed time.

How much does the service cost?

The cost of the service is between 25€ and 70€, depending on the delivery zone.

The service comprises: a RuralShopper who selects the best local products, and coordinates all your shopping, taking it to your rural house and storing it ready for your arrival.

The cost of the service is additional to the cost of the shopping itself, and we would recommend the following ways to keep costs down

  • Use your order not only for local products while you are on your break, but also to have some left over to take home with you
  • Large groups: these will require more shopping – we make it easy for you to organise the shopping
  • On a long break? Try and order as much as you will need for the whole time of your stay.
When do I pay?

In advance, and when all has been confirmed. We will send you a safe link for payment. Payment confirms the order and also acceptance of service conditions.

It is necessary to make the payment of the order at least 72 hours before arrival at the accommodation.
How can I pay for my order?
By credit card through Stripe or Bizum.
What happens if we do not find a product in nearby establishments?

RuralShoppers will do their best to comply with your needs and preferences. However, as we shop in local areas, we do give priority to local produce, and it could happen that we cannot find the particular brands requested. Thank you for being flexible and believing in local goods.

Rural Shoppers will contact the businesses to be used with 48 hours notice, but it could be that one or more of the items requested in your order are not stocked. We will substitute similar products where possible.

If we cannot find a reasonable substitute in the chosen shop, the full price of the item will be returned to the client.

If there is a specific product on the list which the client considers cannot be substituted, this should be noted on the order. In this case, if we cannot find the product in the shop, we will not provide a substitute.

Can I cancel an order?

You can cancel your order, as long as you let us know at leas 24 hours before delivery time. If delivery is to be made on a Sunday, then we need to know 48 hours before.

If you cancel more than 72 hours before your arrival, there will be no charge made.

If you cancel between 72 and 24 hours before your arrival, 50% of the price of the order will then be payable.

Can I return goods?

At the moment, Rural Shoppers cannot accept returned goods. The Coronavirus COVID-19 health and safety rules do not allow shops to accept returned goods.

What if there is something which has decomposed in my order?

We are very sorry if this has occurred. Please let us know within 2 days of the delivery and we will resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Can I change or add products to my order?

Yes! You can make changes to your order up to 72 hours before delivery.
